Salam Alaykoum,

My name is Kané Mohamed Hassan.

I was born on July 4th 1995 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The first 17 years of my life were spent growing up in this warm and culturally rich country.

In 2012, I immigrated to the USA at the age of 17 to pursue my higher education.

My mother is an entrepreneur with a Pharmacy Degree and my father is an entrepreneur with an Electrical Engineering background. They met in the 1970s while on a government scholarship given to the most promising Ivorian students to pursue their higher education in France.

A nurturing spiritual and intellectual upbringing instilled in me the belief and confidence that I can learn and achieve everything I set my mind to.

I studied Computer Science and Machine Learning at MIT before diving in the startup world.

Over the past 5+ years, I have been designing AI systems and deploying them in the real world. Highlights include working on mobile data infrastructure at Facebook, developing computer vision algorithms for Uber ATG, publishing 6 peer-reviewed machine learning papers and leading the machine learning team at Emtropy Labs.

I am currently Co-Founder & CEO of Medium.Bio where we use AI to design functional, therapeutic antibodies.
